Meet the teacher!

I am so excited to be in my 18th year working at St. Pius X! I began as a teacher's aide in Kindergarten, co-taught the 4 year old preschool with Mrs. Debbie Heinrichs, taught the 3 year old program, and now I am back teaching the 4 year olds. I am blessed to have the most wonderful, helpful, caring assistant in Mrs. Lisa Bierig.

I am originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, where I attended Catholic schools from 1st to 12th grade. I moved here when I was 18 to attend the University of Tulsa and majored in Psychology. I have been married for 28 years to my husband Sam, who is a big help in fixing and building things for our classroom. My two children are both St. Pius X and Bishop Kelley graduates. My son Cameron is 25 and lives and works in Seattle. My daughter Allie is 23 and now works for TPS teaching Kindergarten at Skelly Primary. We have two very energetic puppies named Riley and Roxie. In my free time, I love to read, watch tons of college football, and spend time with my family.

Grandparents Day!

Thank you everyone for coming to Grandparents Day! It was wonderful to meet all of you and to learn so many unique names for grandparents - Tita, Poppi, Nana, Bee, Papa, Sitty, Mimi, Granny, MeMas, Papa Mustache, Boonkie, Mamita just to name a few.

Leanna's Birthday!

Halloween and Pumpkins

We had so much fun learning about pumpkins and celebrating Halloween! We made and tasted pumpkin dip and explored the inside of a pumpkin. We dressed up for Fun Day and our Halloween performance!

Vet Visit!

We were so happy to have Dr. Gabrielle Fielstra (Caroline's mom) visit our classroom, along with her dog, chinchilla and lizard. The kids learned about taking care of pets in a very hands on way!
