Cy Young-award winning pitcher for the Houston Astros, Dallas Keuchel, was named the 2017 St. Pius X Distinguished Graduate at Mass wrapping up a week of events for Catholic Schools Week. Dallas graduated from St. Pius X in 2002 before attending and playing baseball for Bishop Kelley High School and the University of Arkansas. He was drafted to Major League Baseball's Houston Astros in 2009.
His parents, Dennis & Teresa Keuchel, along with sister Krista (Keuchel) Norrid, accepted the award on his behalf. Previous distinguished alumni winners or their family representatives were also honored.
