St. Pius X students took top awards at two STEM competitions in April.
SPX Middle School students won Division 3 overall at the Oklahoma School of Science & Mathematics on April 14th. Individual finishers included:
6th grade boys - 2nd and 3rd place winners
7th grade boys - 2nd place winner
8th grade boys - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners
6th grade girls - 1st place winner
7th grade girls - 3rd place winner
At the regional Rubik's Cube solution contest in Wichita, KS on on April 12th, SPX students wowed the competition by solving 25 cubes in 4 minutes and 11 seconds, beating the 2nd place high school team by over a minute!

Individual Awards - Middle School Division
Gracie Kinnaman- 1st Place 25.2 seconds
Tanner Cole- 2nd Place 27.7 seconds
Kevin Nguyen- 3rd Place 37.7 seconds
Overall - SPX students placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
