Welcome to Mrs. Hern's First Grade!
About Me:
I am Amy Hern, and I teach first grade. This is my 12th year teaching and my 12th year teaching 1st grade. I love watching my students grow and become more confident learners. I attended St. Pius from kindergarten through 8th grade and love I get to teach here. I graduated from Bishop Kelley High School and the University of Oklahoma. That is where I met my husband, Eric. We are happily married and have 3 children together. We have 5 year old twins, Hannah and Zach, who are in Kindergarten at St. Pius and Maggie who is 3. While I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family, cheering for my Sooners, and being active in the St. Pius community.
My philosophy:
I love learning from my students as much as I love teaching them. I feel strongly that God places each student in my class for a reason. We will do so much on our learning adventure! First grade is fabulous!
