Celebrating 60 years of Catholic education at St. Pius X School!

I found him at door locked at the current Pastor the 8th pastor of st. Pius the 10th church school Community I'm very glad to I'll be back as Pastor now I went to St Pius school between the years 1976 and 1984 so from first grade to 8th grade then went on to Bishop Kelly the teachers that I had an all my classmates encouraged I thought very many ways my own vocation towards the priesthood and a very grateful for those opportunities I have while here as a student in 1957 when the first class started at st. Pius the tenth School the church was literally a barn students the creek to get to mass once a week the school buildings were prefabricated Barracks bought and shipped on the railroad from Fort Chaffee in Fort Smith father fee our founding Pastor recruited the group of 60 parishioners to help construct and red the campus for the first class in the fall of 1957 on volunteerism the neighborhood decided they wanted to build a school so it was built with volunteers the sisters back then couldn't afford buy carpeting so they came up with this idea that we would go through the carpeting that carpet stores throughout so they asked me if I would take some of the neighborhood kids and my kids around so we went to all the carpet stores and we've got all the carpet I was worth saving service is always been an important part of this team is community I remember when I was a student my mom would take her turn working in the cafeteria it's always fun to walk into the calf. Forget that your mom is going to be there that day and there she is I would drive on field trips because I have a big suburban and I got to have more people my car will shine from coaching state championship all teams and academic Bowl teams to constructing playgrounds in building the activity center parents have led the way for Progress by serving on our advisory Council how much school and even organized fabulous auctions like tonight in the past year we started the Care and Share hours and that's every family will contribute 20 hours of volunteer work for the school or the church and that just helps ensure that everybody has a hand in their child's I think that parents are part of this community and it is so important for parents to be involved by volunteering to do things for school it helps the school to continue to grow for future Generations and hopefully the foundation that we stopped at years ago is continuing to be built upon you know it's awesome that my grandparents parents have laid the foundation and now I get to take part adding bricks to those layer and I get to see my kids benefit from the new school it's hard to put into word how needed to see something that your parents and then you get to take part of it and you watch your kids don't always know how important it's going to be but then you turn around and I see my daughter doing things that I did years ago then I get to see my grandkids benefit from the same school system in Spain volunteer support staff that's what helps it to continuing today service is so important to any Catholic Community being involved says that you care says that this place is important to you then we invest in your children is mirrored in the way that you invest in this community as well as we reflect on the past or future is bright years I'm not too sure what I want to be but I think I want to be either veterinarian or an actress or I could edit videos in 10 years I probably wanted like travel the world Michael different countries eating different foods and stuff and I'm going to block my life and get like annoying sounds I want to be a doctor because of my mom cuz she really inspired me cuz she works really hard still really good mother a vet a singer and makeup artist and unicorn in 10 years I will be 21 so I will still be in college and I want to study abroad in Italy in 10 years I'm going to have over a million Subs on YouTube I can't I'm going to have a stand-up comedy channel I'm going to make people laugh it's going to be pretty lit in 10 years I will be in college and I hope to play basketball for KU 118 turn it up my favorite teacher here in there. I want to go back to visit and see if they have a new cafeteria and in my humble opinion Saint Pius I talked to your school that not enough people know about we are active academically with Sport with everything that you can possibly think to have a well-rounded child within it Catholic School St Pius the 10th School shining bright for 60 years
